“How do you feel, Pastor Sol?”
Pastor Solomon Liu
That’s the question everyone keeps asking me.
Recently, my wife and I married off one of our precious daughters. It’s a big deal to marry off your children, whom you’ve seen grow from little ones to adults. No matter how many children you have, it’s no small thing.
And that’s why everyone keeps asking me, “Pastor Sol, how do you feel?”
Yes, it’s always hard for us parents to “let go” of our beloved children because we love them so much and care about their well-being. But as believers, isn’t it our ultimate desire that they be in God’s will and walk in His ways? There’s no better place to be than in the center of God’s will.
So, honestly, I’m doing just fine. Mainly because I know they have built a Christ-centered marriage. They share their love for the Lord, serve together in the church, and encourage one another to grow closer to Him.
Their prayer is that they individually love God more than they love each other.
I’m confident that with this attitude, they will experience the abundant life Jesus promised and live their lives “to the full.”
We are all created for God, to love Him by serving Him, to obey Him, and to carry out His purposes in our lives. I’m glad this new couple can help one another stay the course, keep pursuing God, and live for Him.
Please join us in praying for them, and for all married couples, that their unions will propel them to be even more effective in becoming missional and living out the Gospel impact that God intends for us.
