AWANA stands for “Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed” as taken from 2 Timothy 2:15.
Our AWANA club is part of an international, non-denominational Bible-centered organization providing weekly clubs and programs for children. This vibrant and exciting ministry provides the opportunity for boys and girls to memorize Scripture, engage in discussion, play games, develop their faith, and enjoy the friendship of their peers.
The program is designed to evangelize and disciple children in the church and community through fun activities.

The adults and youth who serve in ECC – Children’s Ministry get to experience the love of Jesus through the eyes of a child. We take very seriously the responsibility to provide a safe and secure environment in which children can grow in relationship with Jesus.
Volunteer Requirements
- To be screened through a Security Background check.
- To be a Born-Again Christian.
Safety and Procedures
Emergency Evacuation Guidelines
In the event of an emergency, preschool and elementary classes will be evacuated to the parking lot. PLEASE DO NOT COME TO THE CLASSROOM(S) TO PICK UP YOUR CHILD(REN). Parents coming into the classrooms may slow down the evacuation process and potentially jeopardize safety.
Lock Down Guidelines
Again, to ensure safety and security, we request parents refrain from coming into their children’s classrooms until the situation is cleared by staff.
We believe in providing a safe, fun, and loving environment for your children, so you are free to worship in an atmosphere that is not distracting to you or those around you. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us.
