2023 Good Samaritan Fund Progress
Please find below the Good Samaritan Fund project reports, letters of thanks from agencies we have supported, and our current year-to-date giving reports.
Approved Grants
Grant Amount: $12,500 for special education and boarding school. This year’s grant amount is being increased by $2,500 to account for increases in cost of living, food, and transportation costs. The families of these students experienced many hardships due to city closures caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Grant Amount: $10,000 total to be distributed in 2023, $5,000 in January and $5,000 in July.
Through ECC-sponsored missionary Patty Chen, this grant supports an annual Winter Clothing Drive to care for the homeless in her locale in Central Asia.
Grant amount: $5,000. This grant will fund groceries and kitchen supplies that will provide 2,500 meals to the homeless/unhoused/low-income people in downtown Seattle or other downtown areas like Tacoma or Everett.
- This grant provides $10,000 in support of the American Red Cross disaster relief efforts following the horrific wildfire that devastated the historic town of Lahaina on Maui. Grant funds will help provide care, emergency shelter, food, and relief supplies. For up-to-date news on Red Cross efforts for this work, please check their website.
