Season of Changes – Christ is the Constant

March brings changes of the season. We are excited to have our children’s Sunday Worship resume fully in-person this Sunday. It was March 11th, 2020, when the World Health Organization declared a pandemic that led to a global lockdown. Our lives over the past couple of years have looked different to all of us and may never be the same. While we are coping with COVID stress and overwhelmed by data about sickness and death, we are also constantly inundated with news of violence and war. In a world with so many variables and instabilities, nothing really helps our hearts to rest. We can only find serenity for our souls when we lay anxieties and worries at His feet. Jesus gives real peace when our faith is anchored in Christ. Jesus is the only constant in all the changes.
“Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.” Hebrews 13:8 Jesus, who redeemed us yesterday, is walking with us today, and will guide us tomorrow.
Remember, we all are His precious children, and we are protected under His wings. We are bounded by many uncertainties of life. There are so many circumstances we face that will not have a clear answer. But His thoughts are higher than our thoughts and His ways are higher than our ways.
As I anchored Christ as my constant in all these seasons of change, His grace is sufficient for me, and His strength is made perfect in my weakness. I have seen Him do more than all I ask for or can imagine. “…the One who is in me is greater than the one who is in the world” (1 John 4:4). Looking forward to another beautiful spring in His time to celebrate His greatness and the power of His resurrection. Rejoice!
“And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.” Ephesians 3:17-19
